Anybody know of a freeware .RAW plugin for Photoshop 6/7 ?
Failing that, how about a good quality shareware one ?

You're right - it is - I've bought it! :)
However, I was actually after doing some comparisons between :-
1) Downloading the .RAW files from the camera using Breezesys' downloader program and then converting the .RAW using Breezebrowser
2) Downloading the .RAW files and then opening them in Photoshop and running something like LinearSharpen or some other actions
Of course, if someone has already done this sort of comparison before which would save me the work ..... ;)

Steve,
Haven't done any timing comparisons, but I would definitely favour a workflow like:
1. Upload from CF card to PC using Downloader using date-based folder as destination.
2. Batch convert using BreezeBrowser into linear TIFF into separate folder from CRW.
3. Create action to batch process images with LinearSharpen in Photoshop using File>Automate. I save the PSD and a fullsize high quality JPG. As I'm running Win XP, this means I can use Windows Explorer to browse the JPG files to more easily identify images that would benefit from custom processing.

I must say it's the way I thought I would have to go - however I have been extremely impressed with Chris's conversion process using BreezeBrowser - it seems to produce excellent results. I was wondering whether Photoshop would give me a noticable improvement in quality, or whether we are talking about sitting staring at 2 pictures side-by-side for 2 hours before I saw a difference ?
I think I'd like to spend some time giving it a go though. I only have an S40 though, not a nice SLR like a lot of you guys have. Do you know of anybody who has produced any actions like LinearSharpen etc. for the S40 ?
Or do I try and get my (very) rusty Photoshop skills into action .... ;-)
Cheers,
Steve.
