I dunno about this...
It's not a CF card, but a CF+ card. Reads like it's some sort of microdrive, but whether it's the same standard as the IBM/Hitachi MD's isn't clear.
Read about it here:

There's a pdf file with some more info.
Google search yielded very little on this product.

CompUSA has them two under a CompUSA brand name for $199.00
I'd steer clear.. the 2.2GB drives were ALL "MagicStor" (IBM/Hitachi were 2GB even, no ".2")
The MagicStor drives are disasters.. I would not trust my data on them even for free...

I'm inclined to agree. I'm going off into the wilderness for two months and anything I photograph cannot be replaced.
I just ordered another Sandisk 1gb CF card from Amazon for about $157.
The last one has worked fine for the past year and I can't afford to take chances.

I bought one - They only had 40 left when I checked again and I thought what the hell.. Then I read your responses Hmmm not so good.
It came yesterday - I stuck in my camera took a bunch of pics - switched over to Movie mode took a 30 second movie. It shows the movie time as 999' seconds. Even after I took lots more movie clips. Probably 999 is largest number it can show.
Stuck on my laptop - watched the movie and then transfered a 700MB file onto the card - no problems. Stuck it back in the camera and took some more pictures.
Later when I was outside I was switching from one mode to another and it gave me a CF error - I turned camera off and then back on - Worked fine.
I will be the guinea pig - I will keep you posted.
Peace,
Tobias

Well I am sending it back tomorrow - Getting that CF error too often. I don't lose any pics - just freezes the camera and I have to pop it out and restart. It is frustrating because it will work fine for a 1/2 a day and then bam one CF error after another.
I should have listened :)
Peace,
Gelston

Yeah I had the same problem 'CF error' with a 2.2gb micro drive - I believe that the drive access time is to slow for the camera and the camera just gives up trying and kicks out the CF error ;(
It’s a shame really as the extra space for such a cheap price would be great!

Hold your breath. I read an announcement that Hitachi is ramping up their production of microdrives (after the iPod and MuVo hit) and is targetting a price of $200-250 for their 4GB microdrives in the very near future. That would be a better way to spend your cash. I'll post the original link if I can find it.

One thing to consider when buying a memory card with spinning bits (like the Microdrive), is that they use more power, not sure what that does to battery life, but my X's-DriveII will only work with a Microdrive on a full charge. That reason alone is why I stick to solid state, bummer because Seagate has just anounced it is entering the market with a 2.5GB and 5GB drive in they Type II format.
