Hiya All,
Well I don't know Brian's title post ' OH BUGGER ' seems more appropriate to this one
    shooting this morn & up comes Error 99 so I do as it says switch off take battery out bla bla & the damn thing aint working, on the LCD where the F number should be it's flashing all sorts of Nos. & if I take a shot the shutter holds open for about 15 Secs. so I phoned Bristol Cameras & they say its a PCB problem & it's gotta go back to Cannon, what a Rats Arse eh & I just got rid of my S3 IS too damn it.
So I shall be lucking in the background for about three/four weeks I guess before it's returned.
Happy shooting folks I'll be watching you
Cheers for now & well disgruntled

title sounded like you had dislocated a shoulder of something - mind you I dont underestimate the irritation of not having a camera. You may get it back sooner than that. Canon repaired a front focusing 350D in 3 days turnaround for me, replacing a part.

Hi Mark
That's a shame. Who knows, Canon may do some tweeking while they have and send you back a "new" camera? Hope it's not gone for long.

Hiya Jason, RM, Lawrie, David, Alby,
Many thanks for your kind words & comments, I'm mad's a cut Cat in one year I've had an S2 IS nicked outa my house, I've had an S3 IS that had a fault & needed replacing & now this.
Alby,
My friend I would dismissed any such thoughts, S H one Tee happens, I'm sure there is someone with a ' Voodoo Doll ' of me somewhere sticking pins in & laughing eh, na jus Sods Law.
RM,
I actually would prefer a dislocated shoulder pain & all to be honest, sounds daft I know but there tiz, I'll be lost without it & that's for sure, lets just hope the turn round time is short or ever better they just replace the body when I get to the shop on Tues.
I'm just soooooo, well you can imagine the two words.
Anyway Cheers for now

Hiya Brian, Werner,
Many thanks for your kind words & comments,
Brian,
You shoulda been a Fly on the wall when it ' went down ' the air was blue, damn good job the Vicar wasn't at home ( my next door neighbour but one ) as my language was less that sweet.
Not only has it beggared up my Macro, Ami is meeting a VIP & his wife & I was going to sneak a few shots if I could get past the security
There should be no problem as it's still under guarantee, it seems like this is quite a common fault from what I've gleaned so far ?? says a lot for Canon !!!
Cheers for now

Hi Mark I was worried your health had taken a downturn when I read the title glad to hear thats not it.
It must be bloody frustrating though to be without your camera at this time of year . I hope they fix it quickly, if its a known fault it should not take them long to sort it out.

Hiya Martin, Dave, Pete,
Many thanks for your kind words, concerns & comments,
So sorry if I alarmed anyone it was totaly unintentional, I can see where your comming from given my health, Mmmm a less than thoughtful title on my part now come to think of it :o :o
Pete,
Frustrating is an understatement as this morning as I sat on the edge of my pond, three yes three of my recently Hatched
' Southern Hawkers ' returned along with a couple of Damsels all within easy shooting reach, talk about rubbing Salt in the wounds eh.
I sure all will be OK, it's a funny thing because I've wondered if something was going wrong with the camera for a couple of days but I just put it down to a ' Bad workman blaming his tools ' maybe just maybe I was right to think that
Cheers for now
Mark
