Demo at a local bike shop: C&C, please.

This lovely young lady was employed by the bike shop as their photographer, advertisement person, etc. I went up to her office between shows. She had an Epson Pro Stylus 4000 and the 7600, along with two different Macs.

Thanks for looking and commenting.

I like her neckstrap. Wish I knew what it was. Tammy 28-75? Or, is that the 17-50?

Boy...that sure would suck if he shorted the landing. :o

Interesting MD ... I like the fun in folks faces. That is a nice strap. Looks better than the POTN ones. I like the little pockets. That strap kinda draws the eyes in.

Well done Mark....I had no idea that a bike could jump over ten people without a ramp.

Known as the 'Bunnyhop', other combinations include the 'American'. I will not bore you with the differences! Good shots and clever strap on her!

I used to bunnyhop people in my old bmx shows. It was such a crowd stopper for such an easy trick.

My record is 17 people and one garbage can. It's fun to see the last person flying underneath you and the look on their face.

You should enter the X-Games your better than Jeff Lenoksky by 7 people and a trash can! haha!

What's it with you and photographers- first the woman from the times, now this find :)

I like the angle you took the first picture from. I found it interesting that the rider clearly wasn't the subject of the image- all eyes were on the bodies on the ground.

Does anyone have a link for that camera support system. My search for hooter straps didn't yield anything on B&H.

1996 San Diego. My first and last. Blew my knee in practice and watched from the sidelines.

I also like the angle of the bike shot... low from the ground to get a view of the bike and the bodies ready to be mamed!

The photographer shot was nice as well...high angle coming down to get a good view of the ....strap? Yeah right!!

I like her neckstrap. Wish I knew what it was.

Why? What happened to it?

It looks like a Tamrac strap. They supposedly have little holders for memory cards on them. Apart from that, it looks very much like the OpTech system.

Mark.

These are lovely photos. You did well with them although they're not up to the level of the 'hair' shot. Did you try getting these people into a pool?

Actually, the bike shot is spellbinding. Just looking at the juxtaposition of the rider to the victims, it certainly looks like there’s no way he isn’t going to land on at least a couple of them.

The photo of the young lady photographer is well done, too, although not as interesting (at least for someone my age). The comments of one much younger member is telling: “I like her neckstrap. Wish I knew what it was. Tammy 28-75? Or, is that the 17-50?" Maybe camera geeks aren’t your best audience for that image.

Nicely done, Doc. I love the colors in all of these.

I'm completely intrigued with what's making this Bunny hop.

Credit Cossie ... you are quite a guy but I would have had more respect for ya had you managed to capture that moment on 'film'. :D

That's funny ... suddenly I see what you mean :p

You're all a bunch of cards. (I think that's vernacular for comedians)

And you've given me a hearty laugh to start my morning, especially after dropping and breaking my 580ex last night.

I suspect you're covering up for the fact that the guy on the bike landed on it.

I'm guessing he left it in the Bunny's office.

Its the Tamrac Digital boomerang. I have that strap for all my camera's. I love it for when I use my heavy gear. Plus if you are in a situation where you need quick access to memory, the memory card pockets are a life saver. I.E. perfect for weddings and Sport photography.

nah, didn't break it during this shoot. I went out again at night to shoot the carnival, had it on the hotshoe without the wheel tightened down, and when I tilted the ballhead all the way back, it fell off and struck the ground. Thankfully I had the stofen omnibounce on as it took the brunt of the fall. The only damage as it turns out is the red lens for the AF assist popped off. One of the two tabs that holds it on was broken off. I was going to crazy glue it on, but my wife suggested I not and just get a new lens.

So, I went out today to shoot Patriot's Day at the John Jay Homestead (the first Chief Justice of the Supreme Court) with a rubber band around the red lens. It moved, the red lens is history. I'll be on the phone to Canon tomorrow.

Me thinks you were going to be buying a new flash anyway :)
Sorry to hear about your accident though.

Great moment on the Bunny Hop!

I also like taking pictures of photographers, this was a fun find too! The lens does look a little like my 28-75 but I'd have to see it larger to be sure. The Tammy has a knurled grip on the zoom ring and that one looks a bit too smooth.

This was taken with my 15mm fisheye. I was basically lying on the ground. ISO 200, F4, TV 2500.

Thanks.

You are, as my judge likes to say, making a leap of faith.

Firstly, that I had it with me.

I did.

Secondly, that I was smart enough to take it out of the bag and use it.

First demo at 12 noon.

I didn't.

Second demo, at 3 pm, after seeing my dark photos.

I did.

Jeez, I wish I could get one of the local bikeshops to pay me for that kind of work. I worked at one for years and all I ever did was change tubes, do tuneups, and wallrides on the electrical box outside!
