Flash Photography with the S2IS

I dont know about anybody else but I can never seem to get a happy medium when I try and use the flash on my camera. I always get washed out pictures or underexposed results. It is very frustrating. Obviously I would love to be using a more advanced camera but this is what I have to use for now. Any tips or suggestions?

Flash with my S2 has rarely been anything but correct, so I can't give much advice. You may try playing around with flash compensation for better results.
