New Canon SDK Version 8.1

I got an email from Canon today announcing the availability of a new SDK. I went to the web page, but it hasn't been updated for the new version. I filled out the form anyway. Has anyone got their hands on it yet?

The European developers site still shows 6.1 as the latest version

Ok, the web page still hasn't been updated, but I got my confirmation email today and have downloaded the new SDK.

The biggest difference that anyone that uses the SDK would probably like to know is that they are splitting DSLRs and Powershots apart into different SDKs. v 8.1 only supports DLSRs.

I tired to download the SDK from here:

After filling out the form I got a page with a download link that fails to download anything.

Anyway able to download the newest SDK now?

SDK = Software Development Kit

I received an email from Canon that explained the issues with the website and an alternative method to download the SDK.

I am just getting started with the SDK. Has anyone been able to use it without Code Warrior?

You can go to the Canon site and fill out the form to request access to the SDK. You do have to wait for a response before you can download but it's an otherwise painless process.
