Really does nothing for me. Too much glare from the sky and too limited DOF on the tree bark.

As an experiment, I like it. Keep trying different angles, using different f-stop combinations, & seeing what you can do with your cam. You'll build up a library of techniques in your brain that will provide options everytime you take another pic.

Good point. It would seem to be a good test bed for camera function/setting experimentation, both depth of field as well as light bracketing.

I like it. There's a lot to improve however. A CPL filter will work great here. Also, the color must be a little bit more saturated.
