I checked yesterday, and they have not dropped in the last month. Maybe some of it already happened, as the story says the prices dropped in October (if I remember correctly). I use Sandisk Ultra II as the benchmark, and 512mb is going for $120 give or take. I'm hoping to see 1gb Ultra II for under $200. :D

This price drop may give the Microdrive crowd a serious run for their money. :wink:

Guess the golden rule is to always buy when it's a long time since the last major earthquake in memory-factory areas of the world :P Remember one time I was about to buy myself 128MB of computer-memory. That was when 128MB ~ one 1024MB module today (in price), and I was 12-13 years. So the amount was quite significant to my economy. Was just about the buy, and then one memory production-plant was leveled by an earthquake. Prices doubled in an instant and my dream of much memory vanished just as fast :/
