I was just trying to get some landing shots of a Flycatcher.
Wind was wrong but I think I got the right Idea.

I think the last shot stands out, lovely catchlight and a nice pose.
I had some comments, but i deleted them as i didn't know if you wanted any comments.

Great set Gary. Did you pre focus on the stick and use manual or is this all with AF?
I've got a female Rose Breasted Grosbeak who makes a dive for the same stick all the time, that I'd love to catch, but she's too fast for AF, I think. I haven't seriously tried yet.

Love the background, perch and they are sharp... too bad you were not facing the bird but I know thats not always possible. Thanx for sharing. But I also see if you were facing him you will bed shooting into the light. Good job.

I set it up focused on the stick and start shooting as the bird comes in Burst mode 5/sec. I just need a little change in the wind to get a profile shot
