I WANT LEOPARD NOW!
I know!!! I'm over here drooling on my keyboard! It's going to be a long wait till October. That new Finder looks sweet, and so do the Stacks in the dock. Which is now reflective.....sweet. I'm using the beta Safari 3.0 right now. You can resize any text box, including the message box I am typing in right now. :)
Hopefully Apple gets the video from WWDC up on it's site. And it sucks that my new Macbook won't be shipping with Leopard. :(

Using safari 3 as well here. Downloaded it as soon as I possibly could. It is way better than previous versions. Also like the new look on the apple site.
My reason for wanting Leopard now is the 64bit apps. Mammamia!!!! Steve Jobs owes me a new macbook pro as I've been drooling all over mine.

Overall, I'm disappointed. I was hoping for some hardware updates. The iMac & mini are WAY overdue for upgrades. I have been hoping for a mini tower for years. At least the iPhone will be opened for 3rd party apps.

I did download the Beta version of Safari for Windows. It seems to work just fine, but I doubt I'll give up Firefox as my cross-platform browser.

I've been trying to use Webkit which is the open source basis for Safari. You can get nightly build here (http://webkit.org/). I try to get a new one at least once a week (when I can remember  ).

I like the site's new look as well. The 64-bit support is awesome news. Some of the stuff, like spaces, I don't think I'll get a whole lot of use out of, but maybe for christmas or my birthday I'll get an external hard drive to use for Time Machine.

I've been running virtual desktops on mine and it is great. It is being discontinued in the support as spaces is being incorporated with leopard.
I'm probably going to be hanging on the door on the day of the release.
Time machine to me seem to be apple's version of that whatsits in XP. A function I disabled as soon as I had xp installed on any pc. It is a nightmare. I hope it wll have a better function on apple. I already have a 160GB external which sadly isn't big enough. I need more HDD!!!

By itself, a means to automatically backup my Mac is worth the price of admission...and at $129, it's going to be small price to pay for the other geewhiz stuff.

Ayotnoms - I have not been keeping up . What will auto automatically back up the Mac .
Everything or just files? The programs I have now suck - I liked it when you could just click on drive , drag to another and come back later and had 2 up to date drives .

When you plug in an external drive, it will ask you if you want to enable Time Machine. By default, it backs up the entire system, but you can set restrictions on things you want backed up, or turn it off all together. You can also set how far back you want it to keep back-ups, and it will purge stuff that is older than whatever date you set to prevent the drive from filling up. You can also encrypt the backup data. If you find something you need from like 8 months ago, you can click on it, and hit restore, and it will bring it back to your current desktop.
