I took this a few months ago, it was my first attempt at a panoramic shot. Relatively happy with it for being my first attempt. C&C would be helpful! :)

The second version here is just the above one with a B&W layered over it in Photoshop:

I think you have done a wonderful job. I like the first one the best. to me second has too much contrast. My monitor must reallly be off because i see a pinkish haze in the first one

No I actually have that too, I'm not entirely sure what caused it. It's actually what gave me the idea of laying a B&W over it, the issue I had with that is just as you said, too much constrast for that type of image. Thanks though :).

I certainly like the first one. I dont know, maybe its the contrast, but it reminds me of an HDR image. I bet it would have looked great on HDR as well. maybe a touch more contrast in the snow would have a nice enhancement, or have the entire photo in black and white.

Second one has (at least to me) the right contrast in the waterfall area. but the snow (and periphery) still looks very blown out. i cant remember what filter it is that you need to get that exposed properly (or at least catch the details) but this is one occasion where you definitely needed it. like the first one though, it has a bit of HDR-ness to it, particularly around the center of the picture.

Yeah an HDR shot of it would be cool, it's down the road from my house so maybe I'll give that a try sometime. I haven't really messed with HDR much at all but for a quick shot of my brothers VR4. I did do one version of the photo in all B&W and personally I didn't think it worked that well, I dunno just my thought though!
The hardest part of this however was removing the horrible looking house from behind the bridge though.
