I have been once before and I shot most of my pictures from the burm on turn 10.

I was wondering if there is any other good places as a sepctator to shoot from.

BTW: I have a 1D Mark II and 70-200 2.8 and 1.4x converter. as far as distance goes.

From the infield, look for the photo opening along Hulman Blvd. between turns four and five. Then, try getting as close as possible to the spectator fence outside of turn seven. There's also a photo opening at turn six, but it's accessible to general admission spectators only for the Friday and Saturday practice and qualifying days.

Most of the F1 fans on this foum are across the pond and won't be able to help. Me either.

Next year my wife and I are going to rent a motorhome and go to both the Canada GP in Montreal and then The US GP a week later at Indy. We are just waiting release of the 2008 schedule.

Enjoy the race!

Good advice. The cars go slow enough through the mickey mouse that even cameras without the ability to run high shutter speed well can get pretty decent shots.
