I don't know if this is the right area for these, but they are baseball themed so I thought I would post here. Anyways I was contracted to take some pictures of a baseball field for a man who recently passed away. He played on this field often and the family wanted a picture to use on his memorial cards. C&C Welcome and appreciated as this is the first time I have done any of these shots.

I like #2. I find the extra empty space around the glove is very symbolic.

Did you take any pictures of the ball/glove combo looking out onto the empty diamond?

Another vote for #2. If he played outfield and if I were his family I'd want an 8x10 of that one framed and hanging on the wall. I think it tells the story they wanted told.

I prefer #2 also but might suggest that the ball and mitt be positioned to one side or the other of the sign. I would probably favor the right side as most of us like photographs where our eyes end up in the lower right area, just like we read a page of words.

Your images show that you have a very good "eye" for photography which is the most important aspect and you can pick up equipment as your needs, and finances, dictate.
