I've found that there aren't too many good camera stores in my area (Hamilton, Ont). Im looking for a hood for my Canon EF 28-135mm, the EW78BII.

The only place near me (that I know of) is Henry's, and they want $45cad after taxes for it. Is that good/bad/average price?

just wondering where other canadians shop for their supplies (doesnt have to be local, an online Canadian site would be fine as well).

japan cameras is that other one, but i never go there.

just get it from henrys, they're expensive, but i dont think you have another choice.
and i dont think a hood needs to be shipped from the U.S. :p

Recently I have been getting gear online from Camera Canada. They are located in London. I checked their website (www.cameracanada.com) and the EW78BII lens hood is listed at $37.80 plus taxes. Add to that a delivery charge and before you know it you are on your way to $60.

If all you looking for is the hood and the local Henry's store has it, I say go for it. If you have a shopping list then yes you should shop around. I have had good service from Camera Canada. If you travel to Toronto from time to time I suggest that you check out Aden Camera on Yonge Street just north of the Eaton Centre (right down town). Aden has two locations in the same block.
