I spend the last year taking pictures at just about every sporting event on campus and this year I'd really like to make some money selling prints - especially to parents because many times they don't get to come to games but I don't really have much to go on as far as pricing.
Any suggestions on what would be fair to charge for different sized prints (i.e. 4x6, 8x12, 20x30, anything in between)?
Thanks!

I have been researching pricing myself ( but for High School) and it seems as if the general opinion is that the region of the country/world you are in along with the school will have an ipact on what you can charge. I am thinking of charging around $10-12 for an 8x10 and $7-8 for a 5x7. But I am dealing with high school parents who feel that I should just give prints away. After all," It didn't cost me anything" they say.
I'm sure college is different... I hope.

One thing you need to look at is what college? The major colleges (D1 big schools) have licensing issues and selling of the photos is illegal unless you have the rights. From my understanding only one company has the licensing rights. However, thats for the big dogs and not smaller colleges. Then again though I would look at the college, what's the tuition like, whats the general student body like - is it a 2 or 4 year, is it a pricey college or a community. Look at the student body and then you'd know more of how to price. Also, just for the area see if you can find any companies in the area and see what they're pricing is like.

Search smugmug.com, look for collegiate photos of your sports, add a few to your checkout list, go to checkout, look at their prices.
Great market research, no charge.
@ high-school shooter: happens to adults as well. It isn't just you. The ability to make any $ shooting youth sports no longer exists, IMO.
