My son, Sheppard, in deep thought. I really like the natural light coming through the window. I'm not sure which version I prefer though.

I love the expression - the out of focus hand bothers me though.

I like the first one better - the b/w seems to be lacking something, to me. Great expression and idea, but I'd love to see more depth of field, too. :)

Josh, He certainly IS concentrating hard:) What is he doing? I like them both, but the color one shows his strawberry blonde hair and cute freckles better. Nice photo... one you'll want to save and put out at his graduation (it happens faster than we think... my daughter is going in the 10th grade in the fall; and my son, in the 7th.) Thanks for sharing this little treasure:)

The oof hand also gave me pause at first as it seems to contain the focus of his attention. But I guess my focus of attention was on his face. I appreciate the C&C.

Yeah, maybe a little higer ISO and f/8 next time. Many thanks for the comment.

Thanks, Renee. It is scary how fast they grow up. Thank goodness I'll have a lot of photographs of them. Someone told me this weekend that I need to get more photographs of myself because they'll want those when I'm gone. Time flies and the circle of life continues to turn.

Much peace to you all. :)
