With the Canon XTi and Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 EX DG APO Lens that I just got this Monday. These were taken between 7:15 and 8:30 in the evening with mostly an overcast day (sun peaked through at the end) so I had to bump up the ISO to 1600. I put all pics through Noiseware Professional then sharpened a bit. I also used a monopod for the first time, what a huge help! I think they came out pretty good for my first try.

nice work, harold. i started shooting soccer with a 70-200 myself. a few comments:

1. crop tightly on the 1v1 shots. i think a number of your shots have too much empty space around the active player(s).

2. big "three" for successful soccer image: ball, face, opponent. so, for example, if you want to shoot the attackers, position yourself behind the goal line just inside of the corner flag and wait for the action to come to you.

shoot more and post more!
