Softball

[Banded Drake]

I had the chance to cover a softball tourny with a few other photogs . It was my first time shooting softball . I learned alot , but still have more to learn .

All of these were shot with a 20d , Sigma 120-300 2.8 , ISO 400 ( sometimes 200 ) , shot in AV @ f 5.6 ( the second day , the first day i was shooting @ 3.5 and i found that a lot of the shots were " softer " thank i like ) . Trying to keep my SS above 1/2000 th .

Great timing, especially on the outfield play. Tough to find at public fields, but next time out look for clean backgrounds, and maybe shoot wide open.

it is very hard to get a shot like #1. good job. pix lightly a bit soft, but it is from a f/5.6, but it is a trade-off to get sharper image.

Thanks yall i appreciate the comments . This was a challage for me to shoot , i have shot soccer a few times and this was much tougher for me . Thanks again ....

I really like #1, I shot softball yesterday and didn't have an opportunity for a shot like that....way too many walks
