Very nice! Do you have a press pass, or is this just from the public areas? What equipment were you using?

I was disappointed that I couldn't make it to either Montreal or Indianapolis this year.

I was disappointed that I couldn't make it to either Montreal or Indianapolis this year.

The pictures were taken from spectator areas with a old Canon 300D and a 70-300mm IS lens. Most of the time there are fences in the way - look closely and you'll see the patterns of of the fence fabric. Using the 300mm setting on the lens minimizes the fence affect.

when shooting though a fence.. take a can of matte black spray paint - spray the fence where you wish to shoot - this minimises the fence effect on your shots.. (be discrete thou as you may be boosted for criminal damage)
