New Install

I am currently running EE1.2 on an Adelphia server. I have moved to a different hosting company and will do a new install on the new server. It has been about 2 years since I installed and played with EE. If I want to use the latest version of EE, what is the install method? Do I start with 1.2 and move up with upgrades, or can I starrt with thew latest, which appears to be EE 1.5. Sorry if this has been asked but I looked and didn't see it. Thanks in advance.

For a clean instal check Announcement: EE 1.5 Release Candidate 4 out forum topic, scroll down to the lower portion of the page... there was a Q&A there with the instructions I used just this week. Prior to that I was overwhelmed with the install guides being scattered about...
