Here's a few from the recent Stil Vodka NZ Drift Series, Round 1

My last drift event in NZ during 2007 before heading overseas..

Was freezing cold, little sun, some rain so ended up usinga faster shutter speed than I would have liked
So wasn't so impressed with the shots, so photoshopped some vignetting into a couple..

The 2nd one, I've got one just before it, with lots of smoke from the front wheel lock up, but unfortunately was a bit blurry.

That was my idea too. Either bring in a RX8 or a nice Beemer

Yeah probably my favourite too. Looked ok without the vignetting, and then adding that really put the focus on the action and smoke

#3 - very nice. i like thats it's a different style than your typical drift photo (like 2,4 & 6)

:lol:!! There's still a few of those cars sneaking in, but most get fairly decent cars, lots of gifts and free parts.. Until they wreck em - Doesn't DA charge $15K a year per entry? Most NZ drifting, charges $125-400 per event/drift day

Yeah, you're right Alex. The track isn't as unforgiving or fast as other tracks such as Pukekohe. There was a speed trap, top car hitting 143km/h sideways through the first corner (same as pic #1) - Still considerably slower than Pukekohe sweeper as I've shown before

No worries Simon. Thought I'd try and give an extra kick to some rather average images. Only did it to a few, and I did think it did work on #7.. Without it, just looks like any battle pic
