problems with setup of EE : msql_error

Hi everybody !

I just tried to install EE on my website but when I go to myserver.com/gallery/setup.php I get the following error :
" . mysql_error() . "
ERROR IN QUERY:
" . $assimilate . "

Does anyone have an idea of what might have gone wrong ?

This is the install for 1.22. Why don't you clean all of that off, and go with the latest version of 1.5? When you are trying to run this script, it says there is already a version of EE installed. Is that true?

If you don't have any photos uploaded yet, I would delete it all and start over with the latest version.

That is what I finally ended up doing to make it easier for me anyway. Send Pekka an e-mail, he is a friendly and very helpful guy.

Anyway, in the meantime I read on the main pages of my ISP that they do not support php, ASP and other... So, I decided to have me some webspace hosted with an ISP who does support all these scripts !
