Hi, As a new member, I notice underneath a lot of your Avatars is "Image editing OK".

Can someone explain what this is please?

Also, How do you put your equipment "signature"??

Hi, and welcome.

Image Editing OK is a flag you can set in your profile that tells people they can have a go at re-interpreting a picture you may post. The picture can be re-processed and, hopefully, the original poster will be told what changes were made to make the picture look as it now does.

Equipment in signature? There are a couple of ways to do this. In your user profile (see the User CP (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/usercp.php) link at the top of the page), you will see a section called Edit Signature (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/profile.php?do=editsignature).

You can:

freehand type your equipment in there (and use the formatting tools to make it look good)

link to an external page on the internet where you have already created a page of your equipment

link to a page here on the board (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=138747) where you have posted your equipment list. There are further instructions there, too.

I thought perhaps the Image edit was something you were only allowed to do after X many posts. Duh!!

Oh, I can see how that looked. Yeah - could be kind of confusing.

Don't be afraid to ask questions - we all do and sometimes answers take a while to arrive but, with an international forum, there is usually someone around.
