I guess we have all taken those shots of the bird or boat only to find them disappointingly small in the final photo.
I have an s30, and ocassionally improve pictures by holding a filter in front of the lens when taking the shot.
Has anyone found a way of enhancing the zoom (perhaps by adapting the teleconverter from the A40).

mjay mentioned this a few messages back, and I've since been looking into it.
CKC Power ( www.ckcpower.com) makes adapters for almost all of the Powershots that aren't threaded, including the S30. The adapter fits over the extended barrel and screws into the tripod mount. It doesn't interfere with normal camera operation, so you can still mount it on a tripod, access the battery & CF card, and turn off the camera while leaving the adapter on. The adapter fits any 37mm attachment, and CKC recommends a Kenko 8x32 monocular. Steve's Digicams has reviews of the adapter (for an S10/S20) and lens.

I'll probably get one in the future, but for now I'm content with the 3x zoom. Nice to know that the option is out there, though.
