Great shots.

How big is the Kestrel? I really like the markings and colors. I don't think we have anything close to it, here in the center of the country (OH). I really like #4 with the tail and wings spread, plus the back-lit wing.

The Kestrel is the smallest Hawk/Falcon in the US and one of the most colorful. The size is about as big as your fist with the Female slightly bigger than the male. Acording to my map you should have them.

One of the best Redheaded Woodpecker captures I have seen in a while. The colours are vibrant and focus is spot on. The kestrel shots are very nice as well.

Great Redheaded shot Gary. I saw the one that mangs on our light pole, but as soon as I got the camera up he took off. Skittish bird.

Thanks for the info. I've seen a handful of posts from you, and I really like the colors(plus I like all the raptors in general). You're right, they list FL & OH, in fact the entire US, so now I just need to find some.
