Surf

I am on vacation and had a little slow time so I thought I would post a shot of the surf. I am never sure if I got the color right because I got a new laptop right before I left and it seems to harder to get the colos right.
Anyways here is the shot

It looks like you didnn't convert the color profile of the image. I downloaded your photo to my desktop and the colors were a little different than the web version. It looks like there was more saturation in the file I saved but it was still too dark.

Here's a quick edit of the photo. All I did was adjust the levels a bit to brighten it up and bumped the contrast about 6 points.

I'm out in hawaii, and trying to take some pictures of my buddies while they surf, what shutter speed did you use, i used 1/800 the other day and they photo did not come out that well, also how far away were you and what lense were you using? also did you use auto focus, or manual, i was using auto and all of my pictures were not in focus...

I use 1/1250 minimum for and freeze frame surf shot I take no matter what focal length, If your looking for panning blur shots, then probably much slower than 1/800....If you have a slow lens, shot at ISO 400

Argg, Hawaii is known to be amazing during Winter, but it looks as if Summer isn't that bad either! I'm rather jelous!

Nice shot, i think the second version posted was a little better, just because the first was a little underexposed, but it looks sharp and well framed. Nice work:)

I have seen surf like that in San Diego....just not very often.
