This is an annual event at Pasadena, CA. An open air plaza is opened up for local artists to draw art on the sidewalk and a winner is selected. I mainly focused on tight detail type shots mainly emphasizing texture.

#1 is a really impressive shot mate.
They're all really deep and textured shots but #1 is just plain cool. Great B/W conversion too.

Thanks, I really like to convert to b/w via DPP. You select monotone picture style, then mess with the filter effect (green or red are my favorites), and then use the RGB curves to add a tritone for more texture/richness. Very nice and easy.

Hi LAShooters...! I went there also and posted some of my pics here. But of course it's nothing like yours... ;-) Mine were straight out of the camera and no PP. You have an unbelievable imagination and I wish I could learn your creativity. That's a lot of PP, yeah? Colors and angles were amazing!

Tom, this is a great series of an interesting event. I love perspective, detail and texture in your shots. Both the B/W and colored versions are excellent with the right amount of grit. Thanks for sharing!

Nope, I shot in RAW and converted to JPEG in DPP, about two hours for about 31 or so shots. Then next day during quiet times at work, I used the PSE 2 to select areas for levels/contrast, adjust colors here and there, and dodge/burn. Probably would have taken 3 hours for 31 shots if I did it straight.
