Hi, I'm just getting into photography and I am slowing trying to get better. In the future I would like to maybe have a few paying clients, but not looking for a full time business. I've been toying around with the idea of having a mobile photography studio since I don't have space in my home and don't have money for studio space. Maybe have a few appointments here and there but provide people with a photographer that can come on location to their home or a location preferred. Does anyone do this? Can anyone offer some pros or cons to this? I am also looking into studio equipment like Alien bees, background stands, umbrellas, softboxes, maybe a 85 1.8, some muslins, etc. What do you think?:)

Hi Sweety,

I think you could do what you want with a couple of strobes mounted on umbrellas, and a foldable reflector. I've tried the whole alien bees backdrop approach, and it's very time consuming to set up and break down. Plus, you lose the 'home' feel and the flexibility of moving upstairs to a bed filled with dolls.
