Hey guys! I just wanted to pass along a shopping tip to anyone interested in small Crumpler bags. I went looking for a new bag last weekend and ended up at a Circuit City in Ft. Lauderdale. They had a bunch of 4 Million Dollar Homes... Long story short, they're discontinuing carrying them so I was able to get it for $29 :D

Me too! Got one this past weekend from my Circuit City; South Texas. They had a couple of red ones and a black one. Went w/ the black bag to be more discrete. This is a great a bag! Quality is amazing. Gear is very well protected. This is what I usually carry; Canon 10D w/ 28-135mm IS lens attached, 20mm f/2.8, 2 batteries, lens cleaning kit, compact flash cards. Good luck for those looking for one!

Ok, I'm going tonight, do I need it NOPE....but why the heck not. :)

I saw those at CC also a few weeks ago. The bag is really nice, but the strap is horrible! Which was very surprising to me after hearing so many good things about crumpler bags.

I don't think the strap is that bad. At least it's nice and wide. With how small the bag is, it shouldn't weigh too much. I'm happy with mine, especially for this price :)

I have the 7MDH and love it, I'm very interested to compare the two since the strap on the 7MDH is so great.

Well, the 4MDH does NOT have any patting and it sure is wide. I can see how it can be uncomfortable at times. But like Bandit said, this bag is pretty light w/ considering the gear I use w/ it (mentioned above). Don't regret spending $30 for it.

got this bag for about 2 months...paid $60 for it. it's a great little bag when i want to carry light (30D and tamron 17-50 attached).

if you want the shoulder pad that comes with the 6MDH+, you can buy it separately.

Menis, I have seen some photos and other reviews of the 6MDH on other sites but I was wondering how much gear can you usually carry w/ it?

It's $54 online. I may swing by one of the local stores (the still list it as in stock) and see if they have any.

I thought my circuit city had made a mistake...they actually had it for $24.99. I bought one, and love it. I too use it to carry my Tamron 17-50 on my 30D. If only it was deep enough for the 70-200...

I picked up the 4MDH for $27 with tax....woohoo.

This will be a nice little bag for by 400D with lens. Only drawback I see so far is my 400D with grip is too deep, oh well for $27 who am I to complain. :)

at the local circuit city.. the only one for $25 was the red one. I'd have preferred the tan or black, but hey it's a deal.

Strange - the only one at my local store for $25 was the black one.

At my Circuit City, only the red one was $25. But I asked them to do a price adjustment on the other color I wanted and they did it!

The red one at mine was $49 and the black was $29. Lucky for me they price matched.

Did y'all have to speak to a manager for a price match on a different color? All three colors carried by my local CC are listed at different prices, and they weren't willing to give me anything but a black one at $25.

Not that I'm complaining. I guess I don't really care, but a brown one would have been nice. :D

Mine only had the black in stock so I just took what they had.

The salesman talked to the manager for me. He said they'd match any of the other colors so I went home with a brown one :D

Stopped at my local CC today and the only thing they had marked for $29 was the 2MDH. I never noticed how tiny it was!

They had two 4MDH's in oatmeal marked at $49. I checked them out and decided to get one. It will work out well to hold the 70-200 F4L IS and my 17-40 with the camera around my neck. Easier than having to fish through my backpack!

For those that might be interested. I went to Circuit City earlier today (Laredo, Texas) and there are still around THREE red 4MDH available. This is the same location that I picked up my black one around 2 weeks ago. They are priced at $25.

I asked one employee who said they wouldn't match, then i went to the customer service desk and they made a phone call to a department and just changed the price. Had to wait a while, but it worked!

returned the red one for a black one. The brown was $50. Service desk was nice but couldnt change the price on it.

The one I went to also has the 2MDH reduced to $15. The 2MDH is no use as a DSLR bag, it will just about fit an XTi if for some reason you don't want to bring any lenses. It's still a nice bag though and would be good for a P&S. I picked one up because I've been looking for a bag that will fit my PDA, HDD (external 2.5"), MP3 player, all the associated cables, and the charging stuff for my phone. For that purposes it does the job just great.

I didn't get a 4MDH as it wasn't really big enough. I've got a Budgie Smuggler and I was assuming the 4MDH was going to be about the same size or larger, so may be a good upgrade. As it turns out the 4MDH is actually a lot smaller.

I went to the Circuit City in Rosemead/Pasadena area here in SoCal and the had two red 4Mil camera bags and one brown 4Mil... They had several of the 2Mil ones, but they are really small... Price tag on the shelf for the 4Mil was $29.99 and the 2Mil was $19.99...

I personally didn't pick one up since the 4Mil is too small for what I need... So if anyone is interested, go to the CC in the Rosemead/Pasadena area here in SoCal...

After playing with it a bit more last night, I found that it fits the 70-200 f4 IS and 17-40 perfect. (With no hoods)

I I move the partition all the way to the side, it can fit my 20d w/ 17-40 (it's a tight fit for the camera) mounted with the hood reversed. In the "flap" I can store an extra battery and memory card.

Butchie, what kind of shoe collection do you have?

Jon

If it doesn't have room for the hoods, that would be a deal-breaker for me. Hoods are good.

Yeah, its "snug" with just the 2 lenses in there. Hoods would be a no-no... :-(

Hey Pepsi...

How'd ya know I collect shoes? Anyhoo, I've actually slowed down on shoe collecting and switched to more expensive hobby; photography... I still buy shoes here and there, but nothing to what I use to do in the mid 80's through the late 90's... 90% of my collection thus far are Air Jordans... The remaining 10% are Nikes... Curious to know why you're askin?! Holla back!

I have a 6 MDH which I LOVE! I am on my way to CC right now. It's 8:38 and they close at 10! Hopefully they will have some at that wonderful price!

Ok, can someone tell me if the 4MDH will hold the 30D w/battery grip?

I don't think so. I have an 400D with grip and it is extremely tight.

Ok, I am back! In Houston, near Willowbrook Mall, I got the bag for 24.96. The shelves are not marked. I told a salesperson about the post here and asked her to check the price. It was only the black bag. I was going to get the khaki bag, but it was still 49.99. Yipee!:D

Wish I could find a 6MDH or 7MDH at this price! There are still 3 red bags here in Laredo, Texas.

$10.00 at Circuit City now. My co-worker bought one for me because it was so dang cheap. Awesome.
