Black specks in my s300 viewfinder

I went boating a while back and took my s300 along. The driver decided to dodge some waves and it got really windy aboard.

Once we were back on land I noticed tiny black specks in my viewfinder. Inside it. I don't really mind because I always use the LCD screen on the back, but am curious as to how the specks may have gotten in there.

Any insight will be greatly appreciated, thanks. :)

A bit strange. I wonder a bit of that black foam rubber they use inside the cameras to make them light tight has broken off.

I live in the tropics and can get mould in my lenses etc if they are not stored right. This can look like black specks.

No other ideas
