1d - noise on left side of the picture

Hi there,

I got a 1d (MK I) with a strange problem. On higher ISO
values (let's say 800) sometimes the left half of the
pictures will become very noisy, while the right side is OK.
Yes, I got the latest firmware !

This happens in RAW and JPG mode,

Well, you have me stumped on this one. Judging from the dscrete line down the middle where the noise seem to stop, it almost looks like a chip or camera internals issue. But that is just a wag.

Any luck with Canon Service?

Sensor or Digic problem. Return it as soon as possible.

I have seen this before on a MK-I and it needed Canon repair.

The problem is it only occurs occasionally ....
But I will contact Canon to see if they can do
something about it
