Challenge #76 - Bridges

I like bridges. Maybe a reference to my engineering background, or to my home Country, Switzerland, which has a long tradition in building bridges ? Stone, wood, cables, gold, etc... you say it !

The challenge is closed.

Thanks to all for participating. It comes as a surprise: some pictures create a very nice ambiance around their main subject - "The Bridge" !
As usual, I guess (it is my first time), it is hard to choose. Anyway, let's go, here are the winners:

#1: Paul B - Small Bridge
I just like it: very peaceful atmosphere, balanced composition, balanced colors and shades. It is like an invitation to cross the bridge, as if it said: come, this is the way heaven. Great shot.

#2: Novaheart - World's smallest wooden drawbridge...
Similar comments: I'd like to be there. Very nice atmosphere, well rendered with the reflection in the quiet water. I also like how the poles are reflecting; this gives the picture a certain structure. The bridge is like 2 hands holding together the 2 parts of the village.

#3: Drocpsu - George Washington
Power, strength, ambition: this was G. Washington, and is well rendered in your picture of he bridge. I like how the picture is framed by the trees on three sides, and the clouds on the right.

Congratulations to all of you, including those who didn't reach the 3 highests steps. A special twinkle to the "Pont des soupirs" in Venice: a classic picture, maybe one of the most photographed landmark in the world.

Paul B: it is your turn !

Greetings from dark Switzerland (11:30 pm).

Well, sorry for repeating this subject after only a couple of months. What should we do ? Is there some kind of rule about this ?
Thanks. Dex

I agree, run with it. Specially considering the quality of what I've seen soo far. Somebody was holding back on the previous one.
