baby poker

Had some fun with our 3 month old tonight, it was his first poker game. Feel free to comment and/or critique.

I am looking for some feedback.
1) does this type of photo with with multiple images of the subject have a name?
2) what is the most efficient way to do this? I took one picture and made it the background. THen i used the lasso and made a loose cut out and copied it on to a new layer and then tried to line it up? Some lined up better than others as my tripod was on the shag carpet. any thoughts?

I'm not sure of the official name for this style of shot, but i've always enjoyed seeing/doing them. I usually just take multiple shot, one for each new position, layer them up in PS, and erase around each different person (technically the same person) in each layer.
Not sure if this is the best way to do it, but it's my method :)

Funny... that outfit with the hood - I just got my 4 month old dressed like 5 minutes ago with that outfit, and thought it would be cute for a picture...lol.

The way skweekie does it is the way i think it's usually done - it works best for me that way too. I think you did it the hard way - but it worked very well!! You just have to make sure you don't change the exposure or the tripod with the other way.

Well done! I was looking at the posted images trying to figure out why the can and bottles looked so "squashed". After looking at the full size, I see that you have a very nice table that has "wells or holders" for the drinks.

The guy at far right looks like me in Vegas...maybe had a few too many!

I believe the name for this style is "Multiplicity," but I could very well be wrong!

actually as soon as i finished with it last night, i ordered a 10 x 20 of from mpix. This morning I realized I didnt do any sharpening so I'm not sure how it will turn out at this size.
