Sorry but I do not like this photo. I think the background is distracting. The glasses are too dark and take away from the picture IMO. Whatever he has around his neck is distracting unless you can clearly make out what the object is. I also have nevr liked B+W and color a lot.

Don't get discouraged! It is only one picture. I got a lot of these when I first started too (and still get a lot of them :lol: )

I actually kinda like it, maybe because that 'thing' around his neck is a guitar and I have played for many years. The glasses looks alittle crooked at the top. Maybe the crop at the top is a bit too tight but other then that it would make a neat album cover. Those two points are pretty nit-picky too.

Out of idle curiosity what did you do to post process. There is colour coming through on the guitar and the shirt, but the guy looks colourless. Is he a vampire or perhaps did you desaturate him?

I used to have a good shot of me performing but it has been lost. It was a really good angle looking down the fret board, oh well.

Its a B/W shot that I think I may have over-photoshopped - to death.
Trying to add some color and this guys music is kinda out there.
The band is called "DOUG MICHAEL and the OUTER DARKNESS"
I guess "outer darkness" as opposed to "inner light". Anyway,
it's not melodic gutiar playin. I don't think I like the final outcome of this image.
Just thought I'd see what other people think.

Very nice shot, but the background doesn't work. What was wrong with the original? Perhaps a less patterned background treatment would work better.
