I've recently been getting a requests to do some product photography for a local workwear company, and, I have finally agreed.

So, today I spent my first day photographing shirts, polo shirts and t-shirts.

One thing I have found time consuming though, is getting all the polo shierts, etc folded the same way, at the same width, depth etc.

I just wondered if there were any product 'togs on here, and thought they may have some sort of technique or bit of kit they use to help getting everything smooth and flat?

Cheers

Next time you are at a GAP store (if there is one where you live) stop by and watch how they fold shirts. They have a carboard template that they use so that every shirt is folded to the same dimensions. Good luck, Dennis

OK - watched it, but it doesn't seem real does it? Was that David Coperfield in disguise as when I fold shirts they never look like that! :D

just get piece of cardboard the size u want the shirt to be, then put the board inside the clothes and pin the back so they are all perfectly straight and same size.

ive seen those "folding" tables and they are kewl. just put shirt down, lift one side, lift other and its done.

As a suggestion, you may want to ad some shape. I had used an old salvaged mannequin torso at one time-- works great for gaining depth and form rather then just folded and flat.
