Hi All,

Here's a couple more macro attempts! The first shell was about the size of a dime and the second somehwere between a nickel and quarter (USD:lol: ).

I tried a high ap to get all the detail in- I also tried the 2.8, but did not like them as much. I didn't do anything to these except resize. Anyone no a good cloth without threds that stick out? Felt and my old black t-shirt are just not good enough!!

Sorry for the small size, I'm on vacation and am limited with what I can do for resizing by my lap top!

EXIF shows Konica camera. Anyway f16 will not give you best resolution - try f9 and make sure you nail the focus.

Silk might work but could be reflective. Have you tried a piece of driftwood?
This is usually smooth and provides a good natural background.
