Pictures for college SID use

Does anyone provide free game pictures to college's SID for use by the college.

If so, is there any tax write off involved.

I shoot for a D1 school, no one else 'donates' pictures to the school. Is the school asking for pictures without compensating you? Did they not have someone covering the event? Are you trying to get into an event or have you covered it already?

Some people will cover various events (sports and not) for discounted rates/ free to get their name out there. I wouldn't do that more than once though because that could become expected. Work should = $.

Last year I did freelance for a couple of papers and from time to time the school (Div II) have requested something for their programs and/or web. At the time I donated it for the photo credit. They do not have their own photographer.

Football season is not far away and I'm sure the issue will come up again.

Sports photography is now only a hobby since I have retired (from a non photography job).
