Here is my dumbie question.

The dealer reviewed this camera with me at purchase and set the AF point manually to the center AF point. I cannot figure how to return to 45 point auto focus point selection. He did not change any Cfn settings and from reading the manual I have concluded, he just made a manual selection of the center point. How do I return to auto camera 45 point selection?

Hi there,

Push the focus poitn button on the right side
of the camera. Use the upper wheel for
horizontal adjustment and the rear wheel
for vertical (or vise versa). Look in the
viewer while adjusting,

Succes

Just press the extreme right (AF Selection) button and turn the main command dial on top till all the peripheral focus points are illuminated.

Thank you but that will only change the manually selected focus point to another manually selected point. I want to return to camera selected auto focus point which it will select from all 45.

Anyone that can help.

having bought a used 1D MkII, I got stuck by this issue also. It turns out PF-17 toggles the ability to select AFPS. It turns out PF-17 was set by a previous owner to ÓN, which disables AFPS! Somewhat counter intuitive. The manual only notes this is one place that I have found. It is on p157.

Hopes this helps other (new) users of this camera.
