I would like to start offering tin boxes that hold wallet-sized photos. Preferably a place that would also stamp the box/container as well. Any recommendations? Now that I think about it, it could be a cardboard holder as well... just anything. Any pointers would be AWESOME. Thanks! :)

I don't follow you. This is just a box that hold wallet sized prints? I personally don't see a market for this. Even if it is unique the size of the market for this is going to be fairly small.

What are you going to have printed/stamped on them. Who is your target audience. How many prints in each? What are you selling for? How are you going to market them. Is there a similar product to look at? Do you have sales projections so that you can estimate inventory required which also dictates the kind of price you are going to pay (quantity purchase is less). Lots of questions as your post gave virtually no details.

I don't need you to analyze my business marketing and future, I've already paid someone to do that for me.

I need something like this: http://www.tyndellphotographic.com/productpics/Plastic-Wallet.jpg

But maybe in a aluminum design, or a cardboard design, that will hold anywhere from 25-100 of these:

Perhaps I posted this in the wrong section.

No, you just posted a very vague question and then hit a respected contributer with a dose of attitude when he tried to clarify what you asked.

I very clearly asked for a product recommendation, not a "have you analyzed your costs per unit" recommendation. Pretty simple. :)

What do you do - sit at your computer waiting for replies you can pick an argument over?

I'm a pretty easy going person, but you wouldn't know that being on a different continent and how many thousands of miles away from me? :)

So! If anyone has any useful information pertaining to the actual topic of this thread, that would be greatly appreciated. If you have a problem with me, take it to PM.

And just in case this does have ANY sort of relation to me asking about a product recommendation, here's some answers:

I will have my logo stamped/printed on them. My target audience is senior photos. Anywhere from 24-100 photos. I don't need to market them, it's something that will be included in my packages. Link to a similar product is in the other post here. Sales projections aren't solid yet, however something along the lines of 50-250 units would be a good estimate right now. I'm not worried about the initial cost of the units, I'm just curious if they actually exist. I can figure out costs later once I know they actually exist and can be ordered/amde.

The best way I can compare this is: a wedding photographer includes an album with designed pages, printed, etc. Well, for seniors, one of the biggest selling points are having wallets to hand to their friends and family - thus the "wallet holder" would be a nice inclusion for the package. It's not a necessity, and it isn't a make or break deal - but it helps the overall image, and I'm a fan of 'small details'.

Hopefully this clears up my intents with this a little better. :)

I will leave this at wishing you luck in finding what you are looking for. I was trying to understand what you were doing only to have you get twisted out of shape.

I don't need you to analyze my business marketing and future, I've already paid someone to do that for me. Not a helpful attitude, Mario? You answered the question in post #8 anyway, so why not give us enough info at the beginning as we might have a slant on the question that you haven't thought of?
I have some tin boxes like that, but now I can't be bothered to find out who the vendor is. Try Google for 53,000 links.

Here's your standard paper box:
http://www.perfectiondistributing.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=PDI&Product_Code=PWB

They also have the plastic ones you pictured above.

You might not find something ready to buy for this purpose, (esp that offers stamping). I would go to a craft store and check the sizes of various craft tins, find one a suitable (if not precision sized) dimension, and then locate a wholesaler. Example: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=6144023

I think knowing what you're doing with them, helps to advise a product with the quality and options that you're looking for, and also suggest something you might not have thought of. Seniors might be more into the scrapbook kind of tin that they can decorate (like in the link), where a Bride might like a stamped tin more, perhaps. Now, I don't know if that tin will hold the 100 photos you mentioned, but it might hold 24. Again, that is info that DID have bearing on my suggestion. :)

I don't think it was intentioned to question your business plan. There are a lot of people with varying knowledge levels, and he just wanted to cover the basics. It also might benefit someone else down the line. ;)

Hope this helps some. Good luck, sounds like a cool idea to go a step further for the holder.
