Can you open a business checking out with your Social Security number or do i need to get a Fed tax ID #??? I am going to go with sole proprietor route. Any suggestions or comments will be appreciated...
Thank you!

This was recommended to me long ago. Didn't use it, went with a partner who had an existing business. Maybe it will help...

As a sole proprietor your fed tax id IS your ssn. You are your business and your business is you.
