Naked Cowgirl Vs. Naked Cowboy

I'm staying at NJ for vacation right now for 2 weeks and today I finally decided to take a stroll in Time Square. Luckily the cowgirl was starting to undress when I got there and then just before I start leaving the time square the cowboy popped out of nowhere. So here's what I got. Let me know what you guys think. I'm not sure if I posted this on the right forum, admin feel free to move it.

Apparently that guy stays in character all the time. I saw him parking his SUV on 29th St. and he just opened up the back and grabbed his guitar and walked away. He had on only what you see in these pics. I have heard that he makes good money.

I also like the juxtaposition between the male and female responses. With women it's exploitive (or 'dirty') but with men it's 'cheesecake'. Such is life...

Is it just me or in the next to last picture does he look like Will Farrell with a goatee?

Oodles and Oodles of cash. The night I was there, I watched for about half hour before the police arrested her. People were giving her not only a dollar, but fives and tens and twenties. She must make $250 an hour, if not more on a busy night.

I used the popup flash on the first one only. I've been in vacation for almost a month so not I'm looking forward to get back in the boiler.:D
Yeah I saw that thread earlier and wondering why was she getting arrested. There was cops all over and they are just letting her do her thing, I guess she got an entertainer's permit or something now.

I noticed that as well. People would be appalled if men started running up and touching on the cowgirl... and she might even be offended. But the cowboy appears to eat up the attention he gets from the ladies!!

Very interesting differences... this is a nice social study as well as photo op, IMO. It sure points out the double standards that we live by on a daily basis.

Edit: I see someone posted that men do actually fondle the cowgirl, so my point isn't exactly valid now. ;)

I dont think the clothes [the little amount that she wears] does her body much justice. She would probably look better completely naked, or completely covered.

My wife travels to NY for work, and has seen both cow-folk. I can't wait to go out there with her; train station is a block from B&H and the photo-ops!

Yeah no doubt, the girl's got nice curves. She's not model-thin, she's obviously not trying to be a Barbie doll, but it's not like she's fat and/or ugly... she's a curvy, natural-looking beauty. There's waaaay too much emphasis on wanting women to look like models these days.

Why was she arrested?

Photographer Jordan Matter has a project called 'Uncovered' that's about topless NY women in public. I don't remember the details but something about a Supreme Court decision that women couldn't be prosecuted for being topless in public if men weren't. When he shoots, he carries a copy of the papers with him in case he's questioned about it.

There were behind-the-scenes videos on his website (http://www.jordanmatter.com). Pretty interesting to watch him work. One female cop started giving him static but couldn't site what she would charge him with. I'm sure if they wanted to they could come up with 'disturbing the peace', 'creating a public nuisance', or something to that effect.

Reminds me of that U2 video where they just set up their gear and started performing on the roof of a building. Hundreds (or thousands) of people started showing up. The police made them stop. Nothing illegal per se about jamming on a rooftop but it's the consequences that result from it.

I think there is some quirk in the law that says while women can be topless, they can't "make money" from it.

In this instance, there was a lieutenant on the scene. I can only imagine there was a visiting dignitary in town and the mayor's office made a call. Next thing you know, she's gone.

The Naked Cowboy was on Good Morning America recently. One of the billboards had a peanut M&M dressed as a cowboy. He said he was flattered at first but sued them for several million dollars for copyright infringement. More than one way to make a buck in NY.
