Shot 2 is brilliant except for that unfortunate tape on the bumper.

I'm not for sure, but I think that orange one is a motorcycle.

Never having been to Goodwood, or for that matter, Great Brittan, I didn't realize they had a display of land speed record vehicles. Clever of them to use white gravel to represent salt. I presume the "tape" mentioned in the post above is a flag attached to something that has to be removed right before the run, perhaps a plug for the air intake. I suspect if you had taken the picture at Bonneville, the flag would be there unless the car was actually running, so it doesn't bother me at all.

I'm glad to see it wasn't raining. I went on the Sunday and it P....... D down all day.
In fact it was the worst Goodwood day I have ever been to, mud up to the eyes.
Nevertheless nice shots.

My friend managed to get the autograph of the guy who drove the vehicle in photo#3 - Al Teague is his name, and the vehicle is Spirit of 76 in which he currently holds the landspeed record for the fastest wheel driven vehicle (409.986mph) - really nice guy too.

We spent about 15 mins talking to Al, Ugo Fadini (model maker) and John Ackroyd (designer of Thrust 2) - awesome :D

Haha I know what you mean
In there own way the pickups are as important, significant and beuatiful as the race cars

Thanks Stav. A little bit of fine tuning in PP, but I wont well if you dont ;)

Zilly - If you do go to the salt flats next year, dont forget your camera and send us all a 'postcard'
