hi

I have an A70 and have been disappointed by the image quality on my HP 940c. For a variety of reasons I'm getting rid of this and getting a Canon i865 which can print @ upto 4800 x 1200 dpi.

What realistic size of print can I get with the combination of an A70 and i865 ?

thanks

4x6 and 5x7s will be excellent, 8x10s will be real good but that will be at the upper end of your limits. Youll love the i865, I have the i960, they are both great photo printers.

Presumably the upper limit is dictated by the A70's 3.2 megapixels rather than the i865 ?

The limits would be dictated by both your camera and the printer you are referring to. If your camera is 3.2 mp, then, in terms of "acceptable" print quality, you can really only expect up to 8x10. But I also believe the printer you are referring to only prints up to 8.5x11 size paper so even if you could get bigger prints like 16x20 from a higher mp camera, you could not print them with this printer.

I hope I helped clarify it and that I did not just state what you already know! Have fun shooting (and printing!).
