Hi and thanks for your time. I have been searching (here, google, ebay, etc, etc) for a GPS tracker that will work with the digital cameras that I have. I understand that in order to work with them that it will have to use the time/date stamp and I am fine with that. I also understand that it will not be the exact spot where the picture was taken and I am also fine with that.

The things I am looking for are 1. small, 2. ability to use AA or AAA, 3. Not a huge pain to sync up to pix, 4. cheap

I do most of my shooting outside of cities and could live with the connection issues in the city. I know that Sony makes a unit pretty much along these lines, but I always like to look before I leap.

With the right software (latest version of Downloader Pro, for instance) you can use pretty much any GPS which can draw a track. Jobo's just released a new dedicated one that sits on your hot shoe and logs a point whenever you take a photo as I understand it.

GPS hmmmmmm and all these years I've just been remembering where I took the picture :)
