Quantum Bare Bulb Flash

I just heard about Quantum's bare bulb flash. Couldn't find much inormation about them except that they are good for wide angle flash. Can someone enlighten me about these flashes...i.e. do they go on the hot shoe? Is the light similar to bounce lighting? The price is reasonable and I just can't spring for regular flash right now....Thanks for helping a nubie!!

Quantum's bare bulb flash, is just removing the reflector from the flash and you are shooting with a bare bulb. That's it! The light flashes in all directions. Since you didn't mention which Quantum model, you should specify. They are pricey as you will be buying the flash and powerpack seperate. Check the Quantum site out and check the prices.
