I have found that everytime I open PSCS and attempt to print a picture with the Print with Preview button, I have to reset all my settings to those that I like. Is there a way to automate this or change my defaults so that my preferences for printing will show up instead of the defaults even after I close and reopen PSCS. My most frequently used settings would be 4x6 borderless photos with some custom adjustments. This can be quite tedious to enter everytime you decide to print photos.

Don't you plug in these settings in the printer driver dialog? You may be able customize settings for the printer driver. What printer are your using?

PSCS will save image size/resolution and other options in the Print with Preview dialog for the SAME image from one editing session to the next.

I'm using the i960. I did figure how to change the printer driver preferences. Going through the control panel to the printer driver I was able to apply my settings for ALL printing jobs. However, should I need to print an 8.5x11 page of draft printing via Word or Internet Explorer I will have to change my settings manually from my 4x6 photo settings. I was hoping to avoid this changing back and forth. I was hoping I could default my settings within PSCS only if possible. I'm starting to feel that this may not be possible. :(

At times, the plain truth is ... well, sad.

Have you tried using the "profiles" in the i960 printer driver. It doesn't mean ICC profile. Rather, Canon printer driver profiles are customized, saved settings for your custom print jobs. However, as far as I know, you can't attach a profile to a specific application. That would make the printer too easy to use. :?
