Just like to see what can be done. I haven't used mine much for landscapes yet.

I know about that thread. I was looking for just landscapes. Thanks.

I've been looking for the same thing for quite awhile, and have even created similar threads that came up with meager or no results. I'm not quite sure why there seems to be such a lack of landscape images shot with this lens - for example, the main 17-70 thread linked to above contains very few of them, despite its massive length.

I admit, I've been an owner of this lens for about six months and have yet to really use it for true landscape purposes, but I've got a Hoya Pro1 CPL in the mail so that should change soon!

We are in the same boat then. I bought a "Hoya SuperQuality" CPL a few months ago. It's a really nice filter.

My point of starting this thread is that since I have this lens and the CPL to go with it, I'd rather not have to run out and buy the Sigma 10-20 and a CPL right now. I'm hoping to get some decent landscapes with the Sigma 17-70 and be able to wait a few months before spending more coin on the UWA lens and filter.

I'm actually about to use the lens this week for my Sierra Nevadas trip. I'll post some when I get back.

Here's a couple recent ones from Yellowstone (falls) and the San Juans of Colorado (West Needles).

I dont know the first image of Tony-S doesn't seems to be sharp at all, is it due to reduced size?

Do you find that you use your Sigma 10-20 more?

One second exposure and persistent wind in Yellowstone. Waterfalls are tough with winds and limbs.

Yes! My first lens other than the kit was the 75-300 (mistake). Next was the 10-20. It is my favorite landscape lens. If you get one, plan on getting a CPL as well.

Wow, those are very impressive! Thanks for sharing.

Tony, it looks to me like the images you posted might be suffering the effects of JPEG compression. Perhaps you could try a little USM after resizing and/or choosing a higher JPEG quality setting?

Ok, this may not qualify as a landscape, but here is a pano I did with the lens. This included 10 handheld photos and was stitched using Photoshop Elements 5.

Here is a smaller version to give you an idea of what the larger version looks like:
