my lexar is dead.
I was copying files to my 40x lexar and my pc crashed halfway through. Now when inserting the card into my 10d, it blinks "err 02" and won't go any further. The pc won't read it either showing "device cannot start" in the device manager. It's the same on w2k and xp.
Can anyone help?

lexar recommend I send it back for repair. I'm off to the South of France on holiday tomorrow and I've only got 2 128mb cards - what great timing!

There are lots of camera and computer shops in France and I bet they sell CF cards.

That's exactly why I use 4 512mb cards instead of one 2 gig card.

Format it on your PC and then try a format in the camera. It's corrupt. A PC format should fix it. If not, then warranty it with Lexar. They are very good on their returns.

The card is soooo dead the pc doesn't even recognise it as a device so I can't format it - I'll just have to shoot carefully and delete all the unwanted shots as I go....

Two cards are not enough to carry in your bag let alone two 128mb cards. You should move on up to 512mb cards or higher.

Send your 128mb back to Lexar for repair.
