Hi,
My searches have turned up all sorts of valuable info the advantages of linear TIFFs, but I haven't been able to find how to set this as my chosen output.
I have Photoshop CS and Canon File Viewer. If I am understanding what I have read in various other posts these are both converting my RAW files to non-linear TIFFs by default (I save all photos as 16 bit TIFF files on conversion). I can't for the life of me find how to switch this preference to linear TIFF.
I would prefer to convert using Photoshop, since I then go on to edit with the software and this would keep things simpler, but any suggestion for either piece of software would be most appreciated.
Alternately, is there any software (other than Capture One, which I can't afford) that I might be better off using?
Thanks for the help.
Heather
