Just went to catch the sun as it starts it's journey over the atlantic, this was one of the better shots.

What do you think of the shot and the processed versions? which do you prefer?

Shot settings where ISO 100, 1/2500 sec, f5.6, Auto white balance, focal length 18mm on the 300D kit lens.

I think it's a good shot. I like the original better than the processed shots. I think it's because of the change in color from the top of the sky to the bottom of the sky. You don't get that as much with the processed ones. God sure knows how to put on a show, doesn't he?

yup, he sure does, although having said that it didn't look that nice actually being there, but under-exposing brought it out nicely.

thanks for the comments, i like the original better too - just having fun in PS.

i wonder what it would look like with the sky as originally shot and the water/boats like the second shot. do you feel like playing around a little more in PS? :)

Wow, that's fantastic! I like the original best, followed closely by the blue one. :) The blue one has a very eerie look yet is also very calm and almost surreal. Great work!

how about this one? It's like the red one but much more subtle. I like it.
